What is a COB Led Strip Lights

COB is Chips on Board, which means that the chip is directly packaged on the PCB board. The COB Led Strip Lights is the lamp belt that encapsulates the chip on the soft board. The chip mostly uses inverted chip, which is linear solid crystal on the PCB board, and then directly drip a layer of packaging glue with fluorescent powder on the surface of the chip. The appearance is exactly like a ramen sticking to the PCB board. The light emitted by the chip is refracted, reflected, and interacting with fluorescent powder in the packaging colloid. ① Due to the structural characteristics of the COB lamp belt, the luminous surface is a linear colloid; and the ordinary lamp -type lamp belt, its structure is a light beads of light, pasted on the PCB board. Therefore, the light emitted by the COB Led Strip Lights should be much even more uniform, linear, no light spots;

② COB chip is directly solid crystal on the PCB board, and the heat of the chip can be quickly passed to the PCB board. Therefore, the chip of the COB light bar is faster than the lamp -type lamp, and the light decay of the COB light band is smaller and the life is longer;

③ The light -emitting angle of the COB light bar can reach 180 °.

Installation Precautions

① COB packaging colloid is directly naked outside, which is made of silicone, and the hardness is relatively soft. During the installation process, you should avoid contact with sharp objects to avoid scratching light surface and affect the lighting effect;

② The colloid material is very easy to be infected with dust and difficulty in handling, so when installing, pay attention to keep the lights clean. If there is dust, you can stick to the cotton swab and wipe it gently.

③ During the installation process, the COB light band is installed in place at one time, and do not have too many repeated tears and paste operations. Because the COB lamp band chip is directly encapsulated on the PCB board, the chip size is particularly small, and too much tear movement will cause necrosis of the COB light with chip.
